Directions to Hopatcong in Sussex County
The following are the directions to the gazebo in Maxim Glen, to Modick Park and to the Municipal Building in Hopatcong Borough, on the western shore of Lake Hopatcong. Court is held in the Municipal Building. Do not confuse Hopatcong (in Sussex County) with an area located on the eastern side of the Lake in Jefferson Twp (Morris County) up Route 15 called Lake Hopatcong. Directions to Hopatcong school district administrative office can be found at the school website. You can link to it from our webpage. Hopatcong High School and the athletic fields/gymnasium are adjacent to the administrative office.

Directions From Interstate Route 80 Travelling West
The park is 3.1 mi from Route 80. The municipal building (Borough Hall) is one block further. Get off at exit 28. At end of the off ramp go straight ahead (do not take the right turn). From exiting Route 80 you will go 0.9 mile and cross a narrow bridge. Just past the bridge is a traffic light. It is a T intersection. Straight ahead of you, you will see the Lake. Make a left turn at the light. Continue 2.1 miles to Maxim Glen/Modick Park and make a left onto Hopatchung Road (County route 607). The park will be on your left. The municipal building is on your right just past the park. Along your way after making the left at the T intersection, you will go past a light at a Pathmark Shopping area (about 0.4 mi from first light at Lake), past another light after about 0.4 mi further (The State Park will be on your right. The entrance to the State Park is approximately at the boundary of Hopatcong Borough. You are on Lakeside Boulevard.), past another light about 0.6 mi further (intersection of Lakeside Boulevard and Brooklyn Mountain Road from the left), and at about 0.5 later you will see the park (Maxim Glen/Modick Park) on your left. Make the left just past the park -county road 607, Hopatchung Road. To get to the gazebo area, one block later make left on Nariticong Avenue. Nariticong Avenue splits the park in half. The upper half is called Modick Park. Groups performing at the gazebo can drive down into the park to get to the gazebo to off-load equipment. There is a driveway off Nariticong Avenue.

Directions From Interstate Route 80 Traveling East
Take exit 30 Howard Boulevard. Make a left at the end of the off-ramp and get back on Route 80 going west. Take exit 28 and proceed as given for Route 80 Traveling West

Directions Coming From Route 46 / 206North (183) Netcong Circle
At the Netcong Circle go north on 183 (former 206). At the second traffic light make a right hand turn (Brooklyn Road, Sussex County 602). The light is a short distance past Lake Musconetcong. Continue to the light at the Hopatcong State Park. This is a T intersection. Make a left onto Lakeside Boulevard (Sussex County 607) Go past another light about 0.6 mi further (intersection of Lakeside Boulevard and Brooklyn Mountain Road from the left). Continue on Lakeside Boulevard and about 0.5 mi later you will see the park (Maxim Glen/Modick Park) on your left. Make the left just past the park -county road 607, Hopatchung Road. To get to the gazebo area, one block later make left on Nariticong Avenue. Nariticong Avenue splits the park in half. The upper half is called Modick Park. Groups performing at the gazebo can drive down into the park to get to the gazebo to off-load equipment. There is a driveway off Nariticong Avenue.

Directions Coming From Route 206 Traveling South
Take 206 South to the Stanhope/Netcong area. You will pass Lake Musconetcong on your left. Take the left at the next traffic light. Continue through Port Morris to a traffic light. There will be a Pathmark shopping center on your right. In order to make a left at the traffic light, go straight across and follow the jug handle to your left. You will merge with Lakeside Boulevard. Follow the Directions From Interstate Route 80 Travelling West starting with the light at the Pathmark shopping center.

Directions Coming From Route 10
Take Route 10 West to Ledgewood Route 10/46 Intersection. At the intersection go left on Route 46 West. After about 0.5 mile the road will fork. Keep to the right. (Route 46 West will go off to the left) Follow the signs to Lake Hopatcong, West Shore. You will pass on-ramps for Route 80 East and West. Then, to your right, you will see the traffic from the Route 80 West exit 28. Follow the directions for Interstate Route 80 Traveling West, starting at the bottom of the off-ramp.
